A Day At Ventura Harbor

My girls and I went to Ventura Harbor Beach today with my sister in law. The beach there is referred to as Mother’s Beach because the waves are very calm and it’s considered more safe for kids. This beach is beautiful and the sand is so soft in your toes. The weather here is still relatively warm and I am not-so-patiently waiting for fall to kick in.

After the beach we walked across the way to Harbor Cove Cafe. It is a cute little spot with outdoor seating beside the boat docks. The food was good and you can’t beat the view.

There is a little nature center right next to the restaurant where you can learn more about the wildlife and marine life of Channel Islands. These are just a few pics we took today that I liked. If you would be interested in learning more about the area or seeing more pictures of the beach and the nature center let me know in the comments. I’m sure we will be making a future trip soon.

If you would like to learn why I love the beach so much then read Why You Need A Day At The Beach to gain some more perspective.

  1. My son has been talking about going to the beach lately and I’ve been trying to think of a good one to take him to. My kids are 2 and 5 and it hasn’t been easy to find one that I like in LA County. I’m not familiar with the ones in Ventura County, so thanks for writing about this one!
