End of July Check-In

It is the last day of July. I am not a huge fan of summer; it’s too hot, it feels endlessly busy at times with travel, events, and family visits (all positive, just draining at times for this introvert), and school is out so I have all three kids at home.

Despite my lack of love for summer, I wanted to touch on some positive highlights for the month of July.

Personal

I celebrated my 30th birthday (woot woot!) and spent a wonderful weekend in a cabin in Big Bear celebrating. I touched on this in a previous post about what I learned in my 20’s.

I have been keeping my anxiety at bay. There are always good days and bad, good moments and the tough ones, but I have been having more highs than lows and when experienced the lows managed to ride them out.

Blogging

This month marks the most blog posts I have written in one month, the most views, the most visitors, most likes, and comments.

I am proud of the progress I am making, still enjoying the process of writing and connecting with the blogging community, and looking forward to what next month brings.

Thank you to all those that take the time to read and comment on my blog. I appreciate you all.

Next month I will be in Disneyland a few weekends for the CHOC Walk and also a D-23 event. My husband will be participating in both, this year I am just going to be enjoying the parks with my kids. My son also goes back to school, so it will be another busy month.

What is everyone else doing for the rest of the summer? What did you accomplish this month that you are proud of?

  1. I love Summer, it’s my favorite time of year. It always makes me a little sad when it comes to an end. But we still have a whole month left. So I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts!

  2. Does school start in August there? Here, school starts in September. I’m not proud of what I did in the month of July (a lot of family visits/traveling) and I’m looking forward to going home and getting back into a routine. I’m more of a spring/early summer person. We are in the peak of summer right now and it’s too hot for me. ☀️🌱

      1. Looking forward to that routine. I’m going to start working out along with the clean eating plan I had before this vacation started. I feel icky right now and I want to start feeling healthy again. When you’re at Disneyland, be sure to try some pineapple whip🍍I heard it’s really yummy. 😊💕

      2. Yes, I think so. I’ve never been to Disneyland but it looks so yummy. Aw, that’s too bad. I’m not a fan of beer and everyone seems to love beer. It’s OK to be different. 🙂

      3. I don’t drink wine either. Pink wine is OK though because it’s sweet 😊🌸

Btw my husband wants to go to Disneyland so badly. He suggested going there for our honeymoon.

  3. First of all happy belated birthday! Disneyland sounds great, especially your kids will love it! I love the summer, as long as it’s not too hot. I love to meet friends, go swimming, be outdoors. It feels there is much more to do than in winter. And, of course, I love writing, sharing my thoughts here and getting in touch with fellow writers like you 😊

    1. Thank you!
We are at Disneyland fairly often. We live close by so it’s our hangout. 🙂
We love the outdoors too, I just much prefer when the weather is cooler. It doesn’t get too cold where I live so we don’t experience a true ‘winter’.
I agree, connecting with other writers is wonderful. 😊

      1. That is awesome. Wish I would live close to Disneyland as well, but at least we have another theme park close by which is about an hour by car.
Well, we have cold winter here. I remember a few years ago, we had so much snow, my car looked like a giant snowball – fully covered…
